The Royal Crest Golf Course is open to residents only. The Pro Shop does offer lessons to the public. The course is an old, traditional New England course. Even though the fairways are tree-lined, they do afford generous landing areas. Additionally, the greens are small, so if you hit them in regulation you should have a good opportunity to make a birdie.
